Afternoon Tea at The 4 star Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown, Dublin

The setting was absolutely beautiful and it truly was an afternoon tea experience to remember. “Greeted by the charming Brendan we relaxed immediately with the novelty of Pimp Your Prosecco. Such a fab idea, we got to choose from a selection of mixers including casia, melon or orange to add to our Prosecco topped with a selection of berries, the perfect party starter.”
“The cake stands were delivered and we all simply dived in. The bottom layer of sandwiches was my first dive in. The classic smoked salmon and brown soda, a yummy delicious chicken with apple wood smoked cheddar (so yummy that I was looking for a second one), fresh tasting egg mayonnaise and cucumber and finally a roast beef.”
“The afternoon tea menu included scones with jam and fresh cream, fruit banana bread, oaked smoked salmon and cream cheese on brown bread and tender roast beef with onion marmalade and horseradish cream. The miniature sandwiches included egg mayonnaise and cucumber and supreme of chicken. ”
“So the moment we all waited for arrived and to say we were all delighted was an understatement, we couldn’t get over the choice of treats we had, I had a gorgeous Chicken, Apple wood smoked cheddar sambo and I’m usually quiet fussy about what goes on my chicken sambos but I have to say it was delicious.”
