Upon arrival we received a warm welcome at reception and we were then introduced to the Manager who assisted us with our luggage and showed us to our room. We couldn’t be more spoilt… we were led to one of the Superior Suites, handed tickets for the cinema and the National Aquatic Centre and there was a bottle of red wine, chocolate strawberries and a selection of fruit awaiting us.

One of the most difficult aspects of a Breast Cancer diagnosis is the prospect of losing your hair and because its cosmetic we sometimes carry a huge amount of guilt for being so upset about this.   When I was told I had to have chemo I was devastated.  I knew this meant I was going to lose my hair.  It was such a huge part of my identity I didn’t want to be stripped bare by cancer however I didn’t have a choice in the matter.
